PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for suppressing the capacity of a storage area required for memorizing a scene image in a map display device changing a scene image displayed on a screen for each of leaving directions in a guidance intersection. SOLUTION: Out of scene images that include a plurality of lanes in the same approaching direction at an intersection present on a road network and a traveling lane for each of the plurality of lanes, the map display system cuts out and presents a scene image corresponding to an approaching lane from a scene image corresponding to an intersection located ahead of the current location.
