PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner having a cyclone dust collection chamber for keeping stable suction force and uniformly compressing removed dust. SOLUTION: Suction air after rotating inside a cyclone chamber 101 and passing a mesh filter 115 is made to pass a flow passage, which is constituted between the mesh filter 115 and a discharge lid 116, so as to make the air flow into a filter chamber by the discharge lid 116 which is arranged in a freely openable state to cover an opening at the lower ends of the cyclone chamber 101 and the filter chamber 102 in a dust collection mechanism 100.
