PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a planar light-emitting element emit light with a uniform luminance distribution by a method for feeding electric power to the planar light-emitting element. SOLUTION: The planar light-emitting element 1 includes a planar anode electrode 8, a planar cathode electrode 12, a light-emitting layer 10 provided between those electrodes 8 and 12, a plurality of anode terminal portions 9a, 9b led out from the anode electrode 8 and a plurality of cathode terminal portions 11 led out from the cathode electrode 12. There are provided a plurality of anode terminal portions 9a, 9b. The light-emitting element 1 is fed with the electric power by sequentially changing timings of feeding the electric power to the anode terminal portions 9a, 9b. In the method for feeding the electric power to the planar light-emitting element 1, the anode terminal portions 9a, 9b have the same peak values of currents, and can be equalized in current supply time per unit time, so that the light-emitting element can emit the light with the uniform luminance distribution.
