PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lower vehicle-body structure of a vehicle for restraining an intrusion quantity of a center pillar upper part by securing (-) of a center pillar lower part, by effectively absorbing compression input and bending force, while restraining buckling deformation of a cross member. SOLUTION: A side sill side end part of the cross member 30 is arranged in a position at a predetermined interval from a side sill 6, and a joining member 35 is arranged for joining the side sill side end part of the cross member 30 and a side surface of the side sill 6. The joining member 35 is set in lower strength than the cross member 30, and strength of a cross member joining area C of the joining member 35 is constituted so as to become higher than strength of a side sill joining area S of the joining member 35.
