<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply apparatus and a power supply method, for controlling devices installed in a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply apparatus which supplies power for charging a battery on a vehicle includes a vehicle control unit which controls a device that a vehicle includes by transmitting a control signal through a cable that connects the power supply apparatus to the vehicle.
