<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a cold shrink tube that eliminates the need for sealing and gripping the ends of a cold shrink tube, can prevent damages to a cold shrink tube material, and can increase the diameter of the tube material easily in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: A laminate 102 composed by arranging a cold shrink tube material 100 on the outer surface of the tube 101 for increasing the diameter is disposed inside a pipe 11 for increasing the diameter while restricting the outer diameter. Then, a fluid pressure is applied to the inner surface of the tube 101 for increasing the diameter to expand a cold shrink tube material 100 to the inner surface of the pipe 11 for increasing the diameter while restricting the outer diameter. The expanded tube material 100 is frozen in a low-temperature bath 200. The pipe 11 for increasing the diameter while restricting the outer diameter and the laminate 102 are taken out into a room temperature environment. The fluid pressure is released from the tube 101 for increasing the diameter, and the tube 101 for increasing the diameter that is now reduced in diameter is taken out of the frozen tube material 100, and the tube material 100 is heated or left at room temperature until it adheres on a tube 300 for holding the increased diameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
