<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a further highly reliable battery system for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: This battery system for the vehicle is provided with discharge circuits (R1, 129A-129D and 128A-128D) which discharge battery cells (BC1-BC4) via measurement lines of the battery cells (BC1-BC4). A control circuit transmits to an integrated circuit (3A) a first discharge command which causes the odd numbered battery cells (BC1 and BC3) in a cell group (GB1) to discharge, a first transmission command which causes terminal voltage of only the odd numbered battery cells (BC1 and BC3) measured at the time of execution of the first discharge command to be transmitted to the control circuit, a second discharge command which causes the even numbered battery cells (BC2 and BC4) in the cell group (GB1) to discharge, and a second transmission command which causes the terminal voltage of only the even numbered battery cells (BC2 and BC4) measured at the time of execution of the second discharge command to be transmitted to the control circuit. Based on the terminal voltages respectively transmitted from the integrated circuit (3A), the control circuit diagnoses abnormalities in the system which includes the battery cells, the measurement lines and the discharge circuits. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
