<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement instrument and a measurement method for independently measuring an ion current and an electron current of an electrode material for a battery. <P>SOLUTION: This measurement instrument includes two potentiostats and a bias electric source (Ebias). Each of the potentiostats comprises a working electrode (WE), a reference electrode (RE), a counter electrode (CE), ammeters (A1L to A2R), a voltmeter for measuring voltage between the working electrode and the reference electrode, and an electric source for applying a voltage corresponding to the value of a measured voltage between the working electrode and the counter electrode. An electrode material (S) with ion conductors (T) and electron conductors (C) formed thereon is used as a measuring object. The counter electrode and the reference electrode are connected to the ion conductors while the working electrode is connected to the electron conductors. Measured values of the ammeters are determined as the ion current and electron current in a measurement state wherein the potentiostats are actuated with an open-circuit potential difference of the electrode material used as a setting value and a voltage is applied between the working electrodes by the bias electric source. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
