<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell for improving the drainage performance of a gas diffusion layer while well securing the gas diffusing performance. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 10 includes an electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 12, and a cathode side separator 14 and an anode side separator 16. The cathode side separator 14 includes flow path grooves 24a and rib portions 24b in an alternate manner to form an oxidizer gas flow path 24. A cathode side electrode 32 as part of the electrolyte membrane-electrode structure 12 includes the gas diffusion layer 32a. In the gas diffusion layer 32a, a plurality of hole portions 36 are formed only in a contact region with the rib portions 24b of the cathode side separator 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
