<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control system capable of reducing a dark current in a state of turning off an ignition switch. <P>SOLUTION: A body ECU 10 determines the existence of data stored in a RAM of an engine ECU by a determining part 14 when determining that the ignition switch is turned off by the determining part 14, that is, determines the existence of data of the other ECU to be backed up by the body ECU 10. The body ECU 10 transmits a transfer request of the data to be backed up to the engine ECU when determining that there is the data to be backed up.
