PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output the propriety of a backup recording medium when restoring. SOLUTION: A medium propriety output device 1, when creating backup of a backup object storage device 19 in a first recording medium 11, creates an identifier that uniquely identifies the data recorded in the backup object storage device 19, stores the identifier in the first recording medium 11 as a first identifier, and stores the identifier in a second recording medium 14 as a second identifier. When restoring the backup object storage device 19, the medium propriety output device extracts the first identifier from the first recording medium 11 and determines and outputs whether or not the extracted first identifier and the second identifier recorded in the second recording medium 14 are identical.
