PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent displacement of a magnetic field generating member due to a long period of use in a fixing device of an electromagnetic induction heat system. SOLUTION: A fixing device includes: a fixing member that includes a conductive layer heated by electromagnetic induction, thereby fixing toner to a recording material; the magnetic field generating member that generates an alternate-current magnetic field intersecting with the conductive layer of the fixing member; a plurality of magnetic path forming members that form a magnetic path of the alternate-current magnetic field generated by the magnetic field generating member; a support member that supports the magnetic field generating member; a sheetlike elastic support member that is arranged between the magnetic field generating member and the plurality of magnetic path forming members so as to be in contact with the plurality of magnetic path forming members and that elastically deforms while pressing the magnetic field generating member toward an indicating member, thereby fixing the magnetic field generating member on the indicating member; and a pressing member that presses the plurality of magnetic path forming members toward the magnetic field generating member.
