PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing dross floating in snout, with which the dross floating in the snout can be properly removed, in a hot-dip plating apparatus of a metal belt such as a hot-dip zinc plating apparatus of a steel belt. SOLUTION: A first exhaust port 13a, a first suction port 16a, a second exhaust port 13b, and a second suction port 16b are sequentially placed on four corners of the snout 2. A forced flow 21a going from the first exhaust port 13a to the first suction port 16a and a forced flow 21b going from the second exhaust port 13b to the second suction port 16b are formed, and the floating dross accumulated on end stagnant regions is suppressed from flowing out to the width center direction of the steel belt S, and at the same time, the floating dross flowing toward the width center of the steel belt S resulting from formation of the forced flows 22a, 22b is swept away, and it is not made to entangle in the steel belt S.
