发明名称 METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF ETHANOL BY CONTINUOUS FERMENTATION
摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently and continuously producing ethanol without the step of supplementarily adding a yeast or the step of recovering and reusing the yeast from an extracted fermentation liquid. SOLUTION: In the method for continuously producing ethanol using glucide or starchy material as a substrate, four conditions of continuous fermentation are set as follows: (1) the fermentation temperature is set in the range from 30 to 35°C; (2) the speed for feeding of the substrate or for the extraction of a fermentation liquid is set so that the time until the fermentation liquid is diluted two times by the feeding liquid of the substrate is equal to or less than the time required for propagating yeast to double; (3) the ventilation amount is in the range of 5-10 NL/min per 1 kL of the fermentation liquid; and (4) the yeast concentration is adjusted to be 0.8×10<SP>8</SP>cells/ml to 1.7×10<SP>8</SP>cells/ml or less after reaching 0.8×10<SP>8</SP>cells/ml. Thereby, the generation of ethanol is efficiently continued without additionally feeding the yeast during continuous fermentation by setting the ethanol concentration of the fermentation liquid in a first fermentation tank to not more than 6.0 v/v%.
