PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilizing cleaning method which is harmless to the body, safe and simple. SOLUTION: The sterilizing cleaning method includes the steps of: diluting a weak acidic concentrated solution of sodium chlorite (active chlorine concentration is 3,000±1,000 ppm) having hydrochloric acidity and a pH of 5 or more and less than 7 with city water or the like 30 to 100 times using faucet; adjusting the diluted solution to an active chlorine concentration of 30 to 100 ppm in the range of weak acid of a pH of 5 or more, preferably 5.2 to less than 7, preferably 6.5 or less; and directly using it as cleaning water or sterilized water.
