PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage throw-in box of a garbage collection vehicle eliminating burden of an opening/closing work of a door at a garbage throw-in port by a worker. SOLUTION: This garbage throw-in box of the garbage collection vehicle includes the door 5 for opening/closing the garbage throw-in port 1a by elevating and lowering, and a door opening/closing arm 7 having one end side rotatably connected to a side plate 2 of a garbage throw-in box body 1 and the other end side rotatably connected to the door 5 and provided to rotate with a connection position 7a on the one end side as a center by interlocking with an elevating/lowering operation of the door 5. The garbage throw-in box further includes a hydraulic cylinder 10 having one end side rotatably connected to the garbage throw-in box body 1 and the other end side rotatably connected to an intermediate part of the door opening/closing arm 7 and provided to rotate the door opening/closing arm 7 with the connection position 7a on the one end side as a center by extending and contacting.
