The present invention relates to a sensor device for use at a virtual golf practice range, and more specifically to a sensor device that is of simple construction which reduces costs, can be used without distinction of left-handed or right-handed shots, can resolve visual uncertainty and enables an accurate sensing of a golf ball even for bunker shots. Sensor device (1) for use at a virtual golf practice range according to the present invention comprises X-axis and Y-axis sensing units (2) (3) constituted respectively by sensors (21) (31), each sensor formed by a pair of infrared emitting diode (21a) (31a) and infrared receiving diode (21b) (31b), wherein Y-axis sensing unit (3) is installed horizontally on the ground in parallel with X-axis sensing unit (2), provided that infrared emitting and receiving diodes (31a, 31b) of sensor (31) in Y-axis sensing unit (3) are installed in such a way as to form an acute angle with the ground, as seen from the front, for sensing a golf ball (A) and that the sensors (21) (31) of the X-axis and Y-axis sensing units (2) (3) are installed in such a way as to form an acute angle with the ground, as seen from the side, in a direction where a golfer stands. The sensor device of the present invention is assembled with ease and within a short period of time, inconveniences associated with assembly are avoided, and assembly costs are reduced. In use, the sensor device operates without distinction to the left or right-handed stance, and helps the golfer swing with a stable posture free of visual uncertainty, thereby doubling the practice effect. Also, the occurrence of errors in sensing of the track of a bunker shot can be avoided. |
