<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for determining cell count, for determining the number of cells before battery control without installing cell-count setting and input means. <P>SOLUTION: The cell count determination device 1 includes: voltage measurement sections 3-1 to 3-7 for selecting an i-th cell from among cells 2-1 to 2-7 connected in series to configure one battery 2, and measuring a voltage value between a terminal connected to an (i-1)th cell which is higher by one and a ground potential 8; voltage comparing sections 4-1 to 4-7 for comparing a voltage value of an (i+1)th cell which is lower by one from the i-th cell measured by the voltage measurement sections 3-1 to 3-7, with the voltage value of the i-th cell measured by the voltage measurement sections 3-1 to 3-7, and determining whether there is the i-th cell or not, or whether the cell is normal or not; and a cell number determining section 5 for determining the number of cells to be mounted, the number of normal cells or the positions where the cells are mounted in the battery 2 on the basis of a result of comparison by the voltage comparing sections 4-1 to 4-7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
