<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge transfer device having improved charge-transfer speed. <P>SOLUTION: Electrode pairs, each including a 1poly electrode 40 and a 2poly electrode 42 are arranged in a charge transfer direction on a charge transfer channel region 30, formed on a main surface of a semiconductor substrate. Edges 44, 46 of the 1poly electrode 40 are inclined in the charge-transfer direction. In this configuration, the 1poly electrode 40 and the 2poly electrode 42 of the charge transfer channel region 30 cause the mutual boundaries of 1poly and 2poly sections, under channel potential control, to be inclined in the charge transfer direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
