<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece that is applicable to a compact timepiece, such as a watch, and prevents a system failure during reception operation. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic timepiece is provided with: a reception module 30 that includes a correlator for capturing satellite signals of a plurality of position information satellites by time sharing and receives the captured satellite signals; an information acquisition section for acquiring prescribed information including at least time information from the received satellite signals; a display section for displaying the acquisition information; a secondary battery 92; a battery voltage detection section 93 for detecting a battery voltage; and a control section 40. The control section includes: a capturing operation control section 46 for ending capturing operation when a battery voltages drops to less than a first threshold after starting capturing operation of satellite signals, and ending capturing operation of other satellite signals when capturing satellite signals of prescribed conditions; and a decode processing control section 47 for ending decode processing when the battery voltage drops to less than a second threshold larger than the first threshold or when prescribed information is acquired by decode processing after starting decoding processing of the captured satellite signals. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
