PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for deoxygenation of digestion gas, which does not require a high temperature in removing oxygen remaining in a purified gas by a high-pressure water absorption method and prevents deterioration of catalyst by at least H<SB>2</SB>S to prolong the life of catalyst and an apparatus. SOLUTION: The apparatus for deoxygenation of digestion gas includes an adsorption tower 9 having a function of removing H<SB>2</SB>S and a siloxane compound, which have not been removed and remain in a purified gas discharged from an absorption tower 3, together with water, a water electrolysis apparatus 6 for adding hydrogen to the purified gas, and a catalyst tower 8 that receives the purified gas to which hydrogen is added and is packed with a Pd catalyst 7 for converting oxygen remaining in the purified gas, to which hydrogen has been added, into water.
