PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine including a special mode of keeping a game state secret, relaxing dissatisfaction given to a game player in the process of the special mode by improving amusement in the special mode. SOLUTION: The special mode of keeping a game state secret is set taking the opportunity of a jackpot 2R or small hit. In the special mode, there are three special modes different in degree of expectation for the probability variable state. The special mode causes transition to a mode having a higher degree of expectation taking the opportunity of a jackpot 2R or small hit in the process of the special mode. In the case of causing transition of the special mode, it is determined whether the transition is caused or not according to the transition state A in the case of winning a jackpot 2R in the high probability state, the transition state B in the case of winning a small hit in the high probability state, the transition state C in the case of winning a jackpot 2R in the low probability state, and the transition state D in the case of winning a small hit in the low probability state.
