PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine operation device preventing run-on with a simple structure. SOLUTION: An off-switch 6A is engaged with a link part 7 of a throttle lever 5 connected to a carburetor through a wire 81 and opens a throttle valve through the link part 7 when the off-switch 6A is operated so as to stop an engine during idling. Consequently, the engine is stopped and the throttle valve is opened by operating the off-switch 6A so as to stop the engine during idling, and run-on is prevented by increasing fresh air and making air fuel mixture lean. Since an engine operation device 4A is composed of only mechanical elements such as the throttle lever 5 and the off-switch 6A and electrical complicated elements such as a solenoid valve is made unnecessary, a structure of the engine operation device 4A is simplified and manufacturing cost is reduced.
