PURPOSE: A backlight unit for a flexible LCD and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enable the backlight unit to have a flexible feature like an OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode), thereby storing and carrying the backlight unit. CONSTITUTION: A light guide panel(10) is manufactured with UV(UltraViolet) curable resin solution. A patterned dot is formed in the light guide panel. When the light guide panel is settled, a module frame(20) is formed by a polyester resin. A gap is formed in every direction of the module frame. A silicon adhesive(30) is inserted into the gap. The silicone adhesive integrates the light guide panel with the module frame.
