PURPOSE: A novel R2R3-MYB transcription factor and a method for producing maysin using the same are provided for the research of a centipede grass expression mechanism. CONSTITUTION: A polypeptide of MYB transcription factor contains: a polypeptide which is encoded by a polynucleotide of sequence number 1; a polypeptide encoded by hybridizable polynucleotide with the polynucleotide of sequence number 1 under the presence of 5x SSC, 5x denhardt solution, 0.5% of SDS, and 50% of formamide; and a polypeptide having an amino acid sequence of sequence number 2. The polypeptide is derived from centipede grass. A method for producing maysin comprises: a step of preparing a recombinant expression vector having the polynucleotide; a step of preparing a transformant by introducing the recombinant expression vector to a host cell; and a step of inducing recombinant protein by culturing and isolating the maysin.
