PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly gather paper with high productivity when gathering paper in different combinations in a series of gathering operations. SOLUTION: In this gathering device, a storing part holds a gathering map in which address information for specifying a paper set prepared by overlapping a plurality of paper and a paper feeding tray to feed paper including the paper set are made to correspond to each other in a plurality of combinations. A gathering control part controls feeding of paper by a plurality of paper feeding mechanisms to feed paper from the paper feeding tray which is made to correspond to each address information in correspondence relation to prepare the paper set specified by each address information. The gathering control part adjusts a preparing order of the paper sets so that the paper sets prepared by paper fed from the paper feeding trays in the same combination may be continuously prepared.
