PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure compatibility between a relay-type retrieval mediation system and a registration-type retrieval mediation system. SOLUTION: The relay-type retrieval mediation system Q includes: a retrieval result reception part for collecting answers from an actual information database R via a registration-type retrieval mediation system D; and a disclosure granularity processing part for performing granularity processing specified by each DB on the answers according to a disclosed identity of a client C, in a network environment in which the registration-type retrieval mediation systems form the majority.
