PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire for distributing light at a wide angle while reducing glare and color irregularity. SOLUTION: The luminaire 1 includes a casing 10 which stores a LED unit 11 having a blue LED element and a yellow light emitting phosphor which are combined for emitting white light, a lens 13 whose entrance-face outer peripheral edge is arranged while being kept at a clearance from the emission face of the LED unit for condensing the light emitted from the LED unit, and a light guide 15 arranged contacting with the exit-face outer peripheral edge of the lens and extending approximately perpendicular to the lighting direction. The while light emitted from the LED unit is emitted through the lens in the lighting direction, entering from the exit-face outer peripheral edge of the lens to one end of the light guide, and guided while repeating full reflection from a boundary plane with air, and then diffused and emitted in the lighting direction. Leaking light from the clearance between the emission face of the LED unit and the entrance-face outer peripheral edge of the lens enters the inner peripheral face of the light guide and guided while repeating full reflection from the boundary plane with air, and diffused and emitted from the outer peripheral edge of the luminaire in the lighting direction.
