PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a centrifugal blower reduced in the size and weight of a casing, and reduced in the drag of suction air, and an air conditioner reduced in the size and weight of a casing while maintaining static pressure by using the centrifugal blower. SOLUTION: The centrifugal blower 1 includes a volute casing including a roughly circular shape air suction part at least at one side surface and provided with a roughly rectangle shape air blow-out part at a front end, a blast fan disposed in an air passage connecting the air suction part and the air blow-out part, and a fan motor connected to the blast fan and disposed at a side of the air suction part. The centrifugal blower is inclined so as to gradually reduce the axial length of the blast fan on a side surface of the casing 4 from the air blow-out part 3 toward a side of the air suction part 2.
