The system has a decorative panel with an upper surface (14) of steel plate materials. The upper surface exhibits different areas (12a, 12b) with different annealing colors. The upper surface is coated with a transparent lacquer layer or polymer layer. The upper surface has three different panels (10) of the steel plate materials with different annealing colors. The steel plate materials are annealed at different temperatures. The different panels are adhered with a carrier plate made of wood and plastic. The different panels are held at constant temperature. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a surface from steel plate material.
