<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal inspection method of a laser clad valve seat capable of performing the internal inspection of the laser clad valve seat in a non-destructive manner. <P>SOLUTION: In the internal inspection method of the laser clad valve seat for supplying a metal powder to a groove part while irradiating the same with a laser beam to form a padding part 19 to the groove part and subsequently subjecting the padding part 19 to finish processing to form the same into a predetermined seat shape, the whole region of the surface layer part of the padding part 19 is subjected to mirror surface processing to be formed into a shape becoming a polygon on a cross-sectional view in a valve seat width direction so as to leave at least the region R corresponding to the insensitive zone of an ultrasonic flaw detector 51 from the finish processing scheduled part of the valve seat shape, and the respective mirror surfaces L2 and L3 of the polygon are vertically scanned by the ultrasonic flaw detector 51 to determine the quality of the padding part 19 on the basis of the inspection result of the ultrasonic flaw detector 51. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
