<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for managing an external memory medium for use in a computer terminal, to decide a risk of leakage of information preserved in an external memory medium to the outside. <P>SOLUTION: A management server obtains and stores information on whether an external memory medium is mounted or removed on/from a terminal in use through a network connection, as mount information. The management server obtains and stores the amount of data being stored in the external memory medium, as storage amount information. From the stored mount information, the management server calculates a non-use time indicative of the time that the external memory medium is not used, and decides the risk of occurrence of information leakage from the external memory medium, based on the calculated non-use time and the stored storage amount information of the external memory medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
