摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for ultrasonically detecting flaw capable of detecting accurately flaws existing in welding part of detected materials, such as welded pipes, irrespective of the existence of the positions thereof. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 100 for ultrasonic detecting flaw is equipped with vibrators 11 of n (n≥2), arranged along the direction perpendicular to a weld line of the welding part P1 of a flaw detected material P; an ultrasonic probe 1 deployed at opposed position to the welding part; and a transmit-receive control means 2, which selects vibrators of m (n>m≥1) from vibrators of n, and, while allowing to implement ultrasonic transmit-receive toward the welding part from the selected vibrators concerned, switches over the selected vibrators, in series. The transmit-receive control means switches over the selected vibrators in series so as to overlap the region of the effective beam width for object flaw detected by each selected vibrator switched; while in the transmit-receive control means, sensitivity of detecting flaw is adjusted preliminarily for every selected vibrator, such that the maximum echo intensities from detection object flaw received with each selected vibrator switched, respectively, become substantially the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p>
