PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unevenness in the film thickness of a carrier transport layer. SOLUTION: A nozzle N is relatively moved to a short hand direction of a nearly rectangular opening part 13a, along rows of recessed parts where a plurality of opening parts 13a are lined up, and over the plurality of opening parts 13a, by continuously coating a liquid body in which materials that become a carrier transport layer (hole injection layer 8b and light-emitting layer 8c) are contained, the nozzle N is relatively moved, along a row of recess aligned with the plurality of the opening parts 13a in a longitudinal direction of the nearly rectangular opening part 13a. As compared with the coating of the liquid body on the opening part 13, suppression in uneven film formation the so-called "creeping-up" of the carrier transport layer becomes possible, and more uniform thickness of the carrier transport layer can be realized.
