PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring device for a vehicle capable of securing the safety of the operation of each section by monitoring a vehicle. SOLUTION: The monitoring device 10 for the vehicle includes a camera device 23 for imaging the inside of a vehicle. When an operation command to instruct the operation of a sheet 17 is applied to a control device 11 for controlling the monitoring device 10 for a vehicle, an image processing LSI36 compares a reference image with an image in operation. According to the image comparison of the image processing LSI36, when there exists an obstacle in a detection area R1 in the periphery of the sheet 17, the operation of the sheet 17 is not executed, and when there does not exist any obstacle in the detection area R1, the operation of the sheet 17 based on the operation command is executed.
