PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining brittle crack propagation inhibiting performance of high-strength steel plates which greatly improves miniature testing method and its evaluation method, and simply/easily estimates arrest performance of any high-strength steel plate with thickness of 50 mm or more without conducting any large test such as ESSO test or double tensile test to inspect performance of high-strength steel plates. SOLUTION: A complex miniature test includes a process to conduct a drop weight test using surface miniature specimen, and a process to conduct a miniature test for measuring brittle fracture surface ratio or absorbed energy by using an internal miniature specimen. In this complex miniature test, the miniature test is conducted on the surface miniature specimen and the internal miniature specimen with a different way, respectively. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
