PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine facilitating development of programs for a main control board by reducing the control loads on the main control board and reducing the program capacity and data capacity mounted in the main control board. SOLUTION: Since a display pattern, a sound effect pattern, and a light emission pattern as a series of variation patterns of the variable display is designated at a time by a variation pattern designating command, it is not necessary to transmit control commands to respective control boards S, D, M, and L from the main control board C at each point where the state of the variable display changes. Furthermore, since the variation pattern designating command is developed by a sub-control board S, the control loads on the main control board C is reduced by dispersing the loads to the subordinate control board S.
