PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional washing machine needs to be set operation contents to operate the washing machine, but setting of the operation contents requires a time, such as embarrassment in setting or wrong setting by a user unfamiliar to the conventional washing machine. SOLUTION: A washing machine includes: an operation unit for setting operation contents of the washing machine; an image sensor for imaging the periphery of the washing machine; an image processing section for processing information of the image sensor; and a control section for determining a user operating the washing machine based on information of the image processing section to control the operation unit. The washing machine determines whether the user setting the operation contents is accustomed to or not, and when the user is not accustomed to the setting, setting buttons of the operation unit are partially activated, and unnecessary buttons are prevented from being pushed to eliminate doubtful setting.
