PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress peeling of an overcoated coating material to the minimum, in a surface treatment method of a cast iron pipe which comprises forming a thermal spray coating on a surface such as an outer surface of a cast iron pipe, subjecting the thermal spray coating to a sealing treatment, and further overcoating the sealed thermal spray coating with a coating material. SOLUTION: In the surface treatment method of a cast iron comprising forming a thermal spray coating 2 on the surface of a cast iron pipe 1, subjecting the thermal spray coating 2 to a sealing treatment comprising supplying a sealing treatment agent 3 to the thermal spray coating 2, and further overcoating the sealed thermal spray coating 2 with a coating material 4; zinc or a zinc-based alloy is incorporated in the sealing treatment agent 3. When the thermal spray coating 2 formed on the surface of the cast iron pipe 1 is subjected to the sealing treatment according to this method, a coating 3a of zinc or the zinc-based alloy contained in the sealing treatment agent 3 is formed on the surface of the thermal spray coating 2, and the uneven state of the surface of the thermal spray coating 2 becomes large. Accordingly, the coating material 4 is favorably adhered to the thermal spray coating 2 subjected to the sealing treatment through the coating 3a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
