A device for controlling a turbine blade pitch, comprising a turbine blade spindle (14) for connection to the turbine blade rotatably connected to a support element (28). An actuator (32) is connected to the spindle (14) and via an actuation element (38) to the support element (28). The actuator (32) is operable to rotate the spindle (14) about a spindle longitudinal axis, thus effecting a turbine pitch adjustment. Preferably, the support element (28) comprises a toothed arc (28), connected via gear wheels to a pitch adjusting drive unit (18). The invention provides an auxiliary, and/or emergency pitch adjustment device, suitable for e.g. rapid turbine feathering. |
