The filter (10) has a filter cartridge (14) arranged in a filter housing (12) and formed by two flat filter sections (16, 18), where the filter sections limit larger internal cross section of the filter cartridge. An inlet opening is provided for passage of raw air, and an outlet opening (20) is provided for passage of pure air. The filter sections are connected with each other by a section that is made of filter material or air impermeable material. An inner area of the filter cartridge is limited by the two filter sections and laterally connected with the outlet opening.
