<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique for enabling power-saving for a memory to be performed. <P>SOLUTION: A printer 10 includes a main CPU 14, a subsidiary CPU 24, a first RAM 20 and a second RAM 22. The subsidiary CPU 24 executes a specified process using a first program which is stored in the first RAM 20 under a state wherein the main CPU 24 is maintained under a sleeping state, and also, the second RAM 22 is maintained under a low consumption power mode in the case when the specified process should be executed using the first program while the main CPU 14 is under the sleeping state. Also, the subsidiary CPU 24 changes the second RAM 22 from the low consumption power-mode to a normal operation-mode and executes the specified process using a second program which is stored in the second RAM 22 under the state wherein the main CPU 14 is maintained under the sleeping state in the case when the specified process should be executed using the second program. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
