<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses exposure to light of the photoreceptors of process cartridges, attached to an image forming apparatus body. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the image forming apparatus body; a plurality of process cartridges detachably attached to the image forming apparatus body and having at least photoreceptors for forming images of respective two or more colors; an uncovering/covering member for uncovering or covering the process cartridges; a restricting member configured so that when force acts on the uncovering/covering member from the covering position toward the uncovering position, the restricting member restricts the uncovering/covering member to the uncovering position requiring, removing at least one of the process cartridges; and a releasing member for releasing the uncovering/covering member from restriction by the restricting member, when at least one of the process cartridges is removed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
