<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability and assembling workability in attaching and detaching work to electric wire, and to reduce the number of members. <P>SOLUTION: A split-type current transformer 1 has a magnetic core 2, consisting of first and second magnetic cores 21 and 22, a secondary coil 4 wound about the first magnetic core 21, first and second cases 6 and 7, and a holding means. The first and second cases 6 and 7 expose end surfaces 21a and 22a to house the magnetic core 2 therein. The holding means consist of a shaft 10 and a bearing 11 and rotatably hold the first and second cases 6 and 7. The shaft 10 is formed to a peripheral surface of the first case 6, in a unified manner, and the bearing 11 supporting the shaft 10 pivotally is formed to a peripheral surface of the second case 7, in a unified manner. The bearing 11 has a pair of first bearing pieces 11a, contacting the periphery of the shaft 10 from the same direction, and a second bearing piece 11b intervened between the first bearing pieces 11a and contacting the periphery of the shaft 10 from a direction different from the direction.
