PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a possibility for a FAX printed matter to be mixed into other printed matters. SOLUTION: When facsimile data are received by a FAX communication unit 31 and a printed matter in a paper eject tray 12 is detected by a sensor 21, after any printed matter in the paper eject tray 12 is not detected by the sensor 21 any more, a printing control unit 34 causes a print engine 24 to execute a print job based on facsimile data. After a printer executes printing for the print job based on the facsimile data, when a printing request is generated and a FAX printed matter is accumulated in the paper eject tray 12, the printing control unit 34 prohibits the execution of the print job in response to the printing request until any FAX printed matter in the paper eject tray 12 is not detected any more.
