PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component that can suppress a decline in insulation between coils that constitute a common mode choke coil, and also to provide a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A laminate 12a is made by stacking a plurality of porous magnetic layers. A coil L1 is incorporated in the laminate 12a and is composed of coil conductors 18a-18d. A coil L2 is incorporated in the laminate 12a and is composed of coil conductors 18e-18h and is provided on a more negative side in the z-axis direction than the coil L1. The coils L1 and L2 constitute a common mode choke coil. Crystallized glass is filled in holes h2 existing in a region R2 around the coil conductor 18. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
