PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To positively suppress spike noise and medium noise, even when information recording and reproduction are carried out at high recording-area density in a vertical magnetic recording medium, in which a pair of soft magnetic layers laminated via a non-magnetic layer and coupled anti-parallel with each other is arranged between the non-magnetic substrate and a magnetic recording layer. SOLUTION: Magnetic domain wall formation is suppressed by forming at least one pair of the soft magnetic layers via the non-magnetic layer on a substrate consisting of the non-magnetic material and by making magnetic characteristics for unifying the pair of the soft magnetic layers have a magnetic hysteresis.
