PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pellet stove capable of simultaneously and appropriately burning wood pellet fuel and firewood solid fuel and automatically and appropriately controlling the combustion, and a combustion case for firewood used for the pellet stove. SOLUTION: In the pellet stove, the wood pellet fuel 10 is automatically supplied, and air is forcedly discharged by an exhaust fan 19, so as to appropriately supply combustion air. The pellet stove includes a combustion case 20 for pellets formed to have a case shape for receiving the supplied wood pellet fuel 10 for combustion and having a fire grate-shaped part 21 to which the combustion air can be made to flow in. The pellet stove further includes the combustion case 30 for firewood placed on the combustion case 20 for pellets, formed to have a case shape for receiving the firewood solid fuel 50 for combustion and at least having a lower face 31 formed to have a fire grate shape.
