<p>A fuel injection valve provided with a valve seat member (3) which has a valve seat (8), and also with a nozzle (10) which connects to the front end of the valve seat member (3) so as to be located on the downstream side of the valve seat (8) and which has fuel discharge holes (11b) arranged around the axis (A) of the valve seat member (3). The angle formed between the center line (Lb) of each fuel discharge hole (11b) and the inner end surface (10a) of the nozzle (10) is set to be an obtuse angle (a) on the outer peripheral side of the nozzle (10) relative the center line (Lb) and to be an acute angle (ß) on the center side of the nozzle (10) relative to the center line (Lb). Fuel discharged from each fuel discharge hole (10b) forms a fuel spray form (fb) consisting of a fuel film having a circular arc-shaped cross-section having a convex surface directed toward the outer peripheral side of the nozzle. The configuration reduces the loss of the energy of fuel discharge and causes the outline of the fuel spray form, which is formed by the discharged fuel, to be clear to improve the penetrating ability.</p> |
