PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of manufacturing the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having high charge and discharge characteristics, using LiFePO<SB>4</SB>as a positive electrode active material. SOLUTION: The method is provided for manufacturing the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which has a positive electrode containing LiFePO<SB>4</SB>as a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte having lithium ion conductivity. In the method, the LiFePO<SB>4</SB>is obtained by pressurizing and heating mixture liquor in which Fe source, P source, and Li source are added in an aqueous solution of inorganic acid.
